The Photographer Greetings! For those who wonder about the photographer behind the images, well that would be me - Scott Crouse. Yup the guy in the picture. Not much to tell really, just a normal middle aged guy with a passion for photography and the island of Bermuda. In the early 1990's I was given a very unique opportunity to live on the island. For 3 years I lived in a physical and mental paradise. The island grew into my soul and I lived and dream the island. Everyone has that special place that gets into your heart, for me it was Bermuda. Since I left the island in 1993 I have made numerous visits back to visit the many friends I made during my time on the island. As a teenager I was into photography, but as time went on the hobby slipped slipped due to cost and a busy lifestyle. A few years ago when digital cameras became affordable I started out with a point and shoot and the photography bug hit again. Each year I travel back to Bermuda to house sit for friends and through them and Bermuda I rediscovered my love of photography. Such an excellent place to find great shooting locations. Very quickly I traded in the P&S for a small SLR (Canon S3is) and my skills developed rapidly. I was being pushed by my buddy Tom (a Bermuda mate) to go to the next level. I then picked up my first "pro" camera, a Nikon D200, and haven't looked back. As time went on I would receive e-mails requesting purchase information about some of my images on Facebook, Flickr and other social websties. As a result I have set up this webpage. Not just to make sales but to show off the beauty of this place that is so close to my heart. Visit as often as you wish, watch the slideshows and dream of Bermuda. I encourage everyone to visit the island and find the love that I have found. If Bermuda is not your thing, then check out my Canadian images as well.
